7 Incredible FACTS About UFOs

Updated: Dec 8, 2019

1. UFOs are reported in Texas every week!!!

Although they don't always make the news, UFOs are seen in Texas regularly. Sometimes there are multiple UFOs reported in a single day! According to the National UFO Reporting Center, there have been 147 UFO reports filed in Texas over this past year, and that's just a fraction of the total, which include reports to this website, MUFON, social media, local law enforcement, and more. Not to mention, many witnesses don't even report their sightings in the first place!

2. Alien sightings and abductions are reported in Texas every year.

Although they aren't seen as regularly as UFOs, (and maybe that's a good thing), aliens are seen in Texas every year - well, if you believe the witnesses! Unlike UFOs, which surface in photos and videos regularly, physical evidence of alien visitation is hard to find. Alien abductees often report the same things, however, like missing time, sightings of gray humanoid beings and spaceships, and only being able to recall their experiences under hypnosis or while dreaming.

3. UFOs were seen in Texas long before Roswell.

Many people believe that the first UFO crash-landed in Roswell in mid-1947. However, that's hardly the case! One of the most impressive and historic UFO cases ever actually occurred in Aurora, Texas (near Dallas) in 1897. Yep, that's right - 1897!!! Well before drones, planes, satellites, rockets, etc. According to the witnesses, a large cigar-shaped craft crashed in Aurora and a deceased small humanoid "alien" body was found in the wreckage. The locals gave it a Christian burial and for a time, the alien gravestone could be visited. But if this UFO crash did occur, the military has gathered up and covered up all the evidence. And that's what many locals believe. What is interesting is there were other documented sightings in the US of large cigar craft during the same time frame. These 19th century "airship" sightings were so prevalent that the public even accused Thomas Edison of engineering them! Edison was eventually forced to make a public statement denying any knowledge about them.

4. The government used to and still does investigate UFO sightings.

From the 1940s to the 60s, the government officially investigated UFOs. Project Blue Book was set up by the United States Air Force to study unidentified flying objects. Although the project was shut down in the late 1960s, there's reason to believe it contained on, just secretly... Because in a December 2017 article in the New York Times, it was revealed that the Pentagon had investigated UFOs in secret as recently as the 2000s! And then this year, the Pentagon confirmed that it STILL investigates UFOs.

5. YOU can read REAL government UFO files RIGHT NOW!!!

You can read real X files on CIA.gov and FBI.gov right now, though warning, it's not the lightest read:

And there are other "weird" files too, like articles related to Project Stargate, a psychic and remote viewing research program.

6. When it comes to UFOs, it's not always "Aliens..."

Hey, we all love talking about aliens and imagining what it would be like if the movie Star Wars was real. But a UFO doesn't mean an alien spaceship. All it means is "unidentified" flying object. Although hoaxed reports of UFOs are uncommon, in my opinion, people do misidentify things, like... Chinese lanterns, drones, lens flares, planes, balloons, weather balloons, fireworks, military flares, sun dogs, ball lightning... just to name a few. Moreover, truly unidentified sightings should not have us believing that aliens are invading, or coming in peace! They are "unidentified" until, well, identified. The study of UFOs can help us discover and learn about lots of new things, not just aliens!

7. Many witnesses of UFOs (and even "aliens") are credible.

Witnesses of UFOs (and yes, even aliens) are not wearing tinfoil hats. Some of the most well-documented cases have very credible witnesses. People who've spoken out about their own personal UFO sightings include astronauts, presidents, pilots, members of the military, scientists, schoolteachers, moms, dads, kids, I think you get the idea.

  • "GIMBAL" footage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tf1uLwUTDA0

However, contrary to popular belief, UFOs are photographed and caught on video a lot! Although some do end up getting identified, some escape explanation and remain a mystery today, and maybe forever.
